Harbor Partner Program

Partners make it possible for low-income, urban youth to receive a remarkable education by sponsoring one or more children to attend Harbor Christian Academy.

Since opening its doors in 2018, HCA has been committed to providing a rigorous classical Christian education to students in Houston’s Greater Fifth Ward and Denver Harbor communities. What began with just 14 students has grown into a thriving school serving 134 students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

HCA is making history by making classical Christian education accessible to children from diverse backgrounds. To ensure no child is denied access to a high-quality education due to financial constraints, HCA operates on a sliding-scale tuition model. While the actual cost to educate a student is nearly $16,000 per year, over 70% of families pay the minimum tuition of $60 per month. This model allows us to serve families from various economic backgrounds while maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Partner Funding Model

A cornerstone of HCA’s sustainability plan is its student sponsorship model. Individuals can sponsor students at different levels. This model allows donors at various capacities to meaningfully invest in a child’s education while ensuring that no student is turned away due to financial hardship. More than 79% of our students come from underserved families living in the city of Houston. Families contribute what they are able, but the sponsorship program bridges the gap between what families can pay and what it costs to educate each student. The model is sustainable because it balances family contributions, donor sponsorships, and foundation support in a way that directly advances the mission.

Our Partners are regularly invested in the life of HCA—reinforcing its mission, hearing stories of impact, and seeing students actively engaged in learning. With continued investment from generous partners, HCA is positioned to strengthen its academic programs, expand community impact, and continue shaping the next generation of Christian leaders in Houston.
