Andrew Johnson is the pastor of Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Denver Harbor. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christianity from Houston Baptist University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Houston Baptist University.
David is the managing partner of Edison, McDowell & Hetherington LLP, a 40+ lawyer litigation boutique with offices in Texas, California and Florida. He graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University and with honors from The University of Texas School of Law. David previously served on the Board of Providence Classical School. He and his wife, Becca, are members of Faithbridge Church in Spring, Texas, where David serves as an elder.
Cathryn holds Bachelor's degrees cum laude in Economics and in History from Rice University, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. After an eighteen year international finance career with ExxonMobil, she retired early in order to devote more time to her family and volunteer interests. She has served previously on several Houston non-profit boards, including Post Oak Montessori School, the Houston Zoo, and the Houston Public Library Foundation. She and her husband, Doug, are members of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Houston.
Beverly Smith holds a Bachelor’s degree cum laude in Accounting from Baylor University and is a CPA. In 2000, she, along with her late husband and two other couples, founded Providence Classical School in Spring, Texas. For the past ten years, she served at Providence as both the Business Manager and Admissions Director. With Providence Classical School thriving, and inspired by the success of Hope Academy in the Minneapolis inner city, Beverly felt called to found a Christian school for Houston's under-served children; she moved into Denver Harbor in June of 2016. Beverly is a member of Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Houston.
Dr. Charles Turner is the pastor of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Houston. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics/Finance from Tennessee State University, a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, with a focus on Transformational Leadership. S’slDr. Turner is married to Markesha Turner, who holds a law degree from Western New England University School of Law. They are the parents of one daughter, Chloe Elise.
Jon Weichbrodt retired in 2008 from a long career with ConocoPhillips. He then served for four years as headmaster of Providence Classical School and brings many years of experience leading school boards. Jon has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at the Permian Basin. Jon and his wife, Dusty, are members of Genesis Community Church in Spring, Texas.
